Tierra Firme is a provocative journey through the emotional and physical landscape of Social Political Theatre in Latin America.
In Bolivia, Colombia and Brazil, we meet the hearts and souls and hear the voices of freedom fighters with a peaceful weapon.
We explored the richness of each country's history and culture, turbulent past, and witness its expression in the present. The flourishing,

social political theatre scene, in all her guises, is our vehicle and our muse.

Social political theatre is as much about the audience as it is the players, as its' various forms truly reflect life as a play.
We observe how theater was used as a tool for therapeutic/expression, experimental and political commentary.
Central to this is the way in which their theatre can create a revolution of the mind as opposed to having to use guns to initiate political change.
We looked how the local community and theater responded to each other and as a result if they evolving one another.

Our journey begins in the simple, indigenous villages of Bolivia, moving to the more urban of cities such as Cali and Bogota in guerilla-plagued Colombia
and on to the north east of Brazil and finish in a stricken favela of one of Brazil's richest metropolis in Brazil, Sao Paolo.
A journey from the past to the present battle around South America's turbulent social and political history comes alive in performance theatre.
A peaceful option for social change.
